Awaken my lovelies, awaken...

Today I gardened until my hands hurt. Under the sunshine and scattered fluffy clouds I trimmed back the tattered and dried, raked up scattered leaves, collected bugs for my curious little entomologist, and discovered these little lovelies who are slowly starting to awaken on this last day of January.

Helleborus buds unfurling leaves and curling upward towards the sunshine
