Every winter since we put a metal roof on our house we have had the most amazing icicles!
A five foot long icicle, arching over the edge, fingering towards the ground: target below, hot tub. Hours later these huge spikes came crashing down on the hot tub and broke the lid! Good thing we weren't in the hot tub at the time!
Who can resist sucking on nature's popsicles.
We harvest a bag full of icicles and put them in the freezer. This is always a fun activity for kids when we pull them out on a hot day in August!
