In between building snow forts, sledding and throwing snow balls for our dog to fetch, I couldn't resist photographing some of the colors and textures the snow reveals.It is amazing how snow changes the perspective of the world around you.
A simple rotten apple we forgot to pick, becomes a vibrant red ornament in a winter tree...
A spikey plant becomes a snow porcupine... 
A yucca plant becomes icy green dragon tongues...
A bird bath becomes a snow capped mushroom...
A snow covered evergreen, looks like a thousand snowy alien gloves reaching towards the earth...
